January 1st always equals a new beginning, new possibilities and new opportunities to make THIS New Year count! But the night that leads up to that new start is one of the most hope filled, incredible nights of all 365 days in a year… NEW YEARS EVE!

New Line Cinema presents a Wayne Rice/Karz Entertainment production of Gary Marshall’s newest film, “New Year’s Eve”! As a self-proclaimed realist and not a big fan of the formulaic romantic comedy I found this film to be fantastic! Filled with stories of hope, stories of loss, forgiveness, first kisses, last breaths and so much more all mixed together with tons of laughter giving you all around hope for the New Year to come!

Gary Marshall (Soap Dish, Valentines Day) remains one of the titans of romantic comedy genre bringing to the screen another incredible, funny, heartwarming set of stories; and just like all his other romantic comedies it brings laughter, heart and some warm fuzzy tears. With a star studded cast featuring names such as Hale Berry, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Biel, Abigail Breslin, Zach Efron, Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert DeNiro, etc., etc. there is a sure bet that the viewer will find one or two of the incredible stories to relate to and feel a part of.

Marshall as well as writer Katherine Fugate team up again with producers Mike Karz and Wayne Rice, who originally brought you “Valentines Day”, to bring you this great film that not only weaves you thru a highly anticipated holiday, but as always helps the viewer transition from story to story and back again without feeling confused, dragged out or rushed thru. The stories blend together seamlessly and fluidly and before you know it the time comes when all eyes focus on that big beautiful ball high up above Times Square New York as Thousands watch the ball descend live and BILLIONS watch that magical count down from home!

This movie is full of heart, full of excitement, full of FUN! And makes you want to get all dressed up and go out there on NYE welcoming in the New Year in full swing! It gives you hope, it gives you countless laughs and it really delivers. I would highly recommend “New Years Eve” for families, couples, girlfriends, anyone that wants to have a good time and feel renewed in their hope that resolutions and amazing things can happen if you just have hope!

This coming New Year’s Eve, take stock in what was, and what will and could be if you just let the old year pass and welcome the New Year in! I know I’m looking forward to 2012 with hope and joy and opportunity! Look to the New Year with star dust in your eyes and joy! 5…4…3…2…1!
